🎼 Graphic Designer – Create in Harmony (Ann Arbor, MI, In‑Person)
Job SummaryOur client is seeking a full-time, in-office Graphic Designer to join their collaborative marketing team in Ann Arbor, MI . This position is not hybrid or remote and requires regular on-site presence to actively participate in creative projects, photography sessions, and team collaboration. This is a permanent, in-house position , not a freelance or contract role .
We are seeking a talented creative with strong photography skills , a passion for clean, soft, and engaging design , and the ability to craft visuals that appeal to a diverse audience of musicians and educators. This role combines creative freedom with a team-oriented environment, focusing on digital and print design , including social media, email, product packaging, catalogs, and promotional materials.
What You’ll DoDesign engaging assets for web, print, social media, email campaigns, product packaging, and catalogs
Create designs with a soft, clean, and polished aesthetic that aligns with the brand voice
Capture and edit product and lifestyle photography using the in-house studio
Retouch and optimize images to meet professional brand standards
Ensure brand consistency across all marketing channels
Collaborate with marketing, sales, product, and leadership teams to align creative efforts with business objectives
Manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and incorporate feedback in a positive, professional manner
Provide creative support and guidance to junior designers when needed
Professional experience (minimum 5+ years) working as a graphic designer in a business or brand environment
Strong photography and photo editing skills
Education in Graphic Design or a closely related creative field
Ability to create clean, soft, and modern visuals suitable for a wide audience
A collaborative, kind, and feedback-friendly personality
Understanding of brand identity , visual storytelling , and cross-department collaboration
Experience designing for social media platforms , adapting visuals appropriately for each channel
Interest in music, arts, or education fields is highly preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field
5+ years of professional design experience
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
Strong understanding of typography, layout design, and visual hierarchy
Ability to balance creativity with business goals and stay aligned with marketing and sales objectives
Experience creating blog, email, and social media content
Experience in staging and shooting product photography
Prior work within music, arts, or educational brands
Mentoring or leadership experience within creative teams
