Club Sports Coordinator - Recreation and Wellness (Administrative/Professional Adjunct)
Salary & Benefits:
Adjunct AP: $45,000-$50,000, commensurate with experience
Limited benefits package including medical, life insurance, wellness resources and tuition waiver effective on date of hire.
Position Summary:
This position supports the daily operations and administration of the Club Sports program. This role assists in the development and delivery of engaging and diverse opportunities that promote student involvement, leadership development, and well-being. This position advises student leaders, supervises student staff, and supports operational areas including event coordination, risk management, program logistics, and brand and communication standards. Through these efforts, the position helps ensure safe, inclusive, and well-organized club sport experiences that enhance student engagement and contribute to a vibrant campus community.
Primary Duties:
Assist in the daily administration of the club sports program.
Coordinate club sport competitions, tournaments, and team travel logistics in collaboration with student leaders and campus partners.
Assist with facility scheduling and space coordination for practices, competitions, and special events.
Support equipment management, purchasing processes, and program logistics.
Advise and mentor club sport student leaders, supporting leadership development and organizational management.
Assist with recruitment, hiring, training, scheduling, and supervision of student employees supporting club sport programs and events.
Support implementation and enforcement of program policies, safety protocols, and emergency response procedures.
Assist with oversight of travel documentation, websites, social media, waivers, eligibility requirements, and risk management practices.
Track participation trends and assist with program assessment and reporting.
Collaborate with campus partners, community organizations, and external vendors to advance student well-being and support departmental, divisional, and university initiatives.
Support the planning and implementation of youth summer camps.
Performs other duties as required/assigned by leadership.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Bachelor's degree.
Prior experience in sports programming or camps.
Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills.
Commitment to valuing and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Master's degree in business, sports/recreation administration, education, or related field.
Minimum one (1) year of supervising staff in recreation or a similar profession.
Experience working with a competitive collegiate sports program.
Working Conditions:
Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Some travel may be required. The position requires routine evening and weekend work to support programs, events, and operations.
