Travel RN Job Details

• Location: Kalamazoo, Michigan (ZIP 49048) – Michigan healthcare jobs
• Facility: 46-bed Medical/Surgical Telemetry Unit
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 9/29/2025 – End: 12/29/2025)
• Schedule: 3x12-hour day shifts (07:00 – 19:30), every other weekend required
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Holiday Coverage: Work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• EMR System: Cerner
• Patient Population: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
• Float Requirement: May float to similar Med/Surg Tele units or affiliate hospitals
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1770 - $1820

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan or willingness to obtain through licensure project
• Minimum 1 year of recent Medical/Surgical Telemetry RN experience
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (pending certifications considered)
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR charting
• Travel nurses must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Ability to complete up to 8 hours of pre-start modules within 1 week of signing

RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to trauma, bariatric, abdominal, amputation, urological, cardiac, and medical overflow patients
• Monitor and interpret telemetry, including dysrhythmias and cardiac drips
• Administer medications, blood products, and manage surgical drains, central lines, and PICC lines
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams: physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and social services
• Maintain accurate patient documentation using Cerner EMR
• Float to similar Med/Surg Telemetry units or affiliate hospitals as needed
• Uphold professional conduct standards and hospital policies
