Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Slitter Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for operating slitting equipment to convert large rolls of material into finished products according to customer and production specifications. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, experience in a manufacturing environment, and a commitment to quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and monitor slitting machines according to work orders and specifications
- Load and unload master rolls and finished product using forklifts, hoists, or roll-handling equipment
- Adjust knives, spacers, tension, and guides to ensure accurate slits and quality output
- Inspect finished rolls for defects, dimensions, and quality standards
- Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting
- Accurately complete production paperwork and documentation
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, quality, and production teams
Qualifications:
- Previous slitter or machine operator experience preferred
- Manufacturing experience required
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform machine setups
- Ability to read work orders, measurements, and specifications
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Forklift experience a plus
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Schedule:
- Full-time
- Multiple shifts available
- Overtime as required
