Title: EHS Engineer
Location: Sturgis, MI 49091
Salary: $90,000 - $100,000

We are the leading walk-in van body manufacturer in North America producing over 7,500 vehicles annually. Our portfolio of customers serves a multitude of industries and delivery applications. The primary industry served by these Walk-in vans is parcel package pick up & delivery because most everything ordered on-line is delivered by a Walk-In stepvan. We are looking for an EHS Engineer to develop, implement, and maintain the company's environmental, health, and safety programs. This role is essential in ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations at our facility located in Sturgis, MI.

What You Will Be Doing

• Ensure adherence to environmental, health, and safety regulations (including Title VI), maintain accurate logs, and submit reports to agencies
• Conduct safety audits, lead incident investigations, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver EHS training, promote behavior-based safety programs, and lead regular safety meetings
• Oversee hazardous waste handling, PPE management, and emergency response plans including evacuation and first aid
• Perform floor inspections and assist in creating EHS policies tailored to aluminum truck manufacturing and painting operations

What you Need for this Position

• Bachelor's degree in health & safety, environmental science, engineering, or related field
• 2+ years of experience in an EHS related position
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, Title VI regulations
• ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
• Hazardous waste management experience
