Job Summary:
The cycle counter will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of inventory levels through regular cycle counting activities. The Cycle Counter will play a crucial role in maintaining an efficient and organized warehouse environment by conducting regular inventory audits and reconciling discrepancies.
What you will be doing:
- Cycle Counting:
- Conduct regular cycle counts of inventory items to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Utilize various counting methods and tools to perform efficient and precise inventory checks.
- Data Entry and Record Keeping:
- Accurately record inventory counts and adjustments in the warehouse management system (WMS) or relevant software.
- Maintain detailed and up-to-date records of cycle counting activities.
- Reconciliation:
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies found during cycle counts by collaborating with other warehouse team members and stakeholders.
- Report and document any inventory discrepancies or issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Communication:
- Communicate effectively with warehouse supervisors, managers, and other team members regarding inventory levels and discrepancies.
- Provide feedback and suggestions for process improvement to enhance overall warehouse efficiency.
- Equipment Use:
- Operate equipment such as handheld scanners, forklifts, or other tools required for cycle counting activities.
- Ensure the proper care and maintenance of counting equipment.
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
- Proficient in using inventory management software and basic computer skills.
- Logic & problem Solving
- Excellent time Management
- Ability to Stand/walk for entirety of shift
- Hilo License or Required certification within 60 days
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems and inventory control procedures.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment, including standing and walking for extended periods.
