S uperior Fabrication is located in the beautiful Upper Peninsula of Michigan and is looking to grow our team of experienced welders that have the ability to fit and fabricate. This is an in-person position located in Kincheloe, MI.

GENERAL SUMMARY: Weld metal components together with brazing and variety of arc and gas welding equipment to fabricate or repair products such as machine parts, and plant equipment, by performing the following duties under the Supervision of the Shop Floor Supervisor and or area leader. The job requires a strong understanding of welding procedures and safety protocols, as well as the ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

· Weld steel products according to blueprints and specifications

· Inspect steel products for defects and ensure that they meet quality standards

· Use a variety of welding techniques, primarily MIG welding

· Maintain and operate welding equipment

· Follow all safety procedures

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Weld steel products such as beams, plates, rods, and other structural components

· Use a variety of welding techniques, primarily MIG welding

· Follow blueprints and specifications to ensure that products are welded correctly

· Inspect finished products to ensure that they meet quality standards

· Maintain and operate welding equipment, such as MIG welding machines and power tools

· Follow all safety procedures, such as wearing proper protective gear and working in a well-ventilated area

REQUIREMENTS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS :

· High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

· 2+ years of experience in welding, preferably in a steel manufacturing environment

· Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds

· Must be able to stand for long periods of time

· Must be able to work in a noisy and dusty environment
