Job Description

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using medical history, diagnostic information, and clinical observation
  
• Develop individualized rehabilitation and treatment plans based on patient needs and goals
  
• Deliver treatment using manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and other techniques
  
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed to ensure the best outcomes
  
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, injury prevention, and long-term mobility strategies
  
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes
  
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care
  
• Supervise physical therapy assistants or aides when appropriate
  

Requirements

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program
  
• Current Michigan physical therapy license required
  
• Successful completion of the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE)
  
• Strong knowledge of physical therapy techniques, rehabilitation practices, and patient management
  
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  
• Ability to create individualized treatment plans and adapt them based on patient progress
  
• Ability to lift 40+ pounds and assist patients as needed
