Intern, Vehicle Integration Engineer
- Install and configure vehicle controller area network (CAN) instrumentation systems on prototype vehicles.
- Work with data collected and transmitted to cloud servers to identify specific issues and the conditions under which those issues arise.
- Develop analytics dashboards for management review of data like fleet performance / efficiency data, usage metrics, open issues, and requirements validation status.
- Work with cross-functional engineers to identify signals and triggers beneficial to vehicle data analysis and implement those into the data collection systems.
- Assist engineers and managers in using the data reporting tools and dashboards created to capture key performance indicators.
- Support vehicle level testing and validation of functional objectives through our requirement management system.
- Pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Must be graduating between August 2026 and May 2029.
- Must be able to work full-time (40 hours per week).
- Interest in vehicle communication networks, telematics, and data analysis tools.
- Experience with or eagerness to learn tools such as Python and Grafana is a plus.
- Highly adaptable and proactive.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working in both laboratory and vehicle / plant environments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Must have the ability to travel (up to 10%).
- Must have the ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
- Must have the ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
