Key Responsibilities

• Perform welding operations using various techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick) on metal components.
• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and welding symbols to determine specifications.
• Inspect finished welds for quality, accuracy, and adherence to industry standards.
• Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, and positioning parts for welding.
• Operate and maintain welding equipment, tools, and work area in a safe and efficient manner.
• Adhere to all safety regulations, procedures, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor welding issues and equipment malfunctions.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in multiple welding processes (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick).
• Proven experience (e.g., 2+ years) in a manufacturing or production welding environment.
• AWS D1.1 or equivalent welding certification.
• Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
• Strong commitment to safety protocols and quality workmanship.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with advanced or specialized welding processes (e.g., TIG on exotic materials, orbital welding, robotic welding).
• Proficiency in fabrication, fitting, and layout work.
• Basic understanding of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods or quality inspection.
• Ability to perform minor maintenance and troubleshooting on welding equipment.
• Advanced blueprint reading and interpretation of complex weld symbols.
