This is a prestigious Level 1 trauma center and major academic medical facility that is part of a well-established regional health system serving the greater Detroit metropolitan area. The facility offers a collaborative and supportive environment with a comprehensive perioperative team including anesthesiologists, surgeons, RNs, surgical technologists, and anesthesia technicians.
Opportunity:
Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist – Anesthesia
Job Details:
- Locum tenens position providing coverage for employee leaves and vacations at a Level 1 trauma center
- Deliver anesthesia care for a variety of inpatient surgical procedures, including general surgery, neurosurgical cases, and deep sedation/MAC
- Collaborate closely with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and perioperative staff including RNs, surgical technologists, and anesthesia technicians
- Provide preoperative assessments and patient education
- Administer anesthetics safely and monitor patients throughout surgical procedures
- Manage ventilation and oversee physician-administered regional anesthesia
- Manage adult patients and a limited pediatric population
- Respond to patient emergencies in coordination with the healthcare team
- Document patient care and anesthesia management accurately in Epic EMR
- Participate in ongoing quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
- Work day shifts only (8, 10, or 12 hours) with no on-call or weekend requirements
- Must hold active Michigan RN License at time of presentation, no exceptions
- Must have current NBCRNA certification and active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA)
- Clean malpractice and license history required
- Must be available to work full time
- New graduate candidates will not be accepted
- Estimated credentialing timeframe: 90-120 days
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
