Facilities Manager | Spring Lake, MI

Salary Range: $89,000 - $135,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of facility maintenance, including preventative and reactive repairs for production equipment and building infrastructure.
• Manage facility budgets, including operating expenses and capital expenditure projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental (HSE) regulations and industry standards relevant to manufacturing operations.
• Develop and implement strategic facility plans to support manufacturing growth, efficiency, and future expansion needs.
• Coordinate and supervise external contractors and service providers for specialized maintenance, repairs, and facility projects.
• Manage utility systems (HVAC, electrical, water, compressed air) to optimize performance and minimize energy consumption in a manufacturing environment.
• Lead and develop the facilities team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Recommended Qualifications

• Deep technical expertise in industrial maintenance, building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing), and utilities.
• Proven leadership and management experience, including overseeing maintenance teams and external contractors.
• Strong understanding and application of safety regulations (OSHA, environmental) and building codes in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated project management skills for facility upgrades, equipment installations, and infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in managing budgets, negotiating contracts, and utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).

Bonus Qualifications

• LEED Green Associate or other sustainability certification
• OSHA 30-Hour General Industry certification
• Experience managing cleanroom facilities or other specialized manufacturing environments
• Proficiency with specific advanced CMMS platforms (e.g., Maximo, SAP PM)
