Salary Range: $58,000 - $92,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Swiss-type lathes according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, G-code, and technical drawings.
• Perform in-process quality inspections using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot alarms, and adjust offsets to maintain part quality.
• Conduct routine machine maintenance, including cleaning, tool changes, and fluid checks.
• Document production output, scrap, and quality control data accurately.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Recommended Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience operating CNC Swiss-type lathes (e.g., Star, Citizen, Tsugami).
• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering blueprints, including GD&T.
• Skilled in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and optical comparators.
• Ability to read, understand, and perform minor edits to G-code and M-code programs.
• Experience with machine setup, tooling selection, and offset adjustments.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Esprit, PartMaker) for program modification or generation.
• Proficiency with advanced metrology equipment like CMMs, optical comparators, or surface profilometers.
• Demonstrated ability to perform minor machine troubleshooting and preventative maintenance.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen) and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience in optimizing tooling and setups for improved efficiency and cycle times.
