Associate Manager, R&D Engineering

This is a hybrid position based in Portage, MI; candidates must live within commuting distance and be onsite 4 days per week.
What You Will Do
- Lead and develop a high-performing engineering team, fostering growth, engagement, and retention.
- Drive project execution by planning, budgeting, and staffing initiatives to meet business goals.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements by overseeing technical documentation and design controls.
- Influence cross-functional teams and senior leaders through clear, effective communication.
- Promote a culture of diversity, inclusion, and belonging in hiring and team development.
- Manage cost center budgets, including forecasting and tracking financial performance.
- Mentor team members in technical disciplines and performance management practices.
What You Will Need
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum six years of relevant professional experience.
- Demonstrated ability to lead or mentor others in a technical environment.
- Experience managing projects with defined budgets and timelines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in people management or performance coaching.
- Familiarity with the healthcare or medical device industry.
- Proven ability to deliver programs on time, within scope and budget.
- Knowledge of stakeholder engagement practices.
$102,600 - $171,000 USD Annual
