Salary Range: $60,000 - $95,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC Swiss-type lathes.
• Perform in-process quality inspections using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges).
• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and G-code programs to produce parts to specification.
• Adjust machine offsets, tooling, and parameters to maintain part dimensions and quality.
• Load raw material and unload finished parts, ensuring proper material handling and organization.
• Perform routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and preventative checks.
• Identify and resolve operational issues, tool wear, and minor machine malfunctions.

Recommended Qualifications

• 2+ years of direct experience operating and setting up CNC Swiss-type lathes.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and G-code/M-code.
• Skilled in using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges) for in-process inspection.
• Ability to perform tool changes, offset adjustments, and basic machine maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for common machining issues and quality deviations.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency in G-code programming and editing for Swiss lathes.
• Experience with advanced metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, optical comparators).
• Demonstrated ability to perform complex machine setups and changeovers independently.
• Basic machine troubleshooting and preventative maintenance skills.
