Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A maternity leave coverage opportunity is available for a certified Speech-Language Pathologist with experience in pediatrics and school settings. This position is based in an elementary school environment in Muskegon, MI, serving approximately 50 students across two schoolsone public and one private. The assignment runs from August through the end of November, with the possibility of extension.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing comprehensive speech-language therapy services to students in kindergarten through second grade, including those in special and general education.
- Managing a caseload of approximately 50 students.
- Conducting evaluations, developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs), and tracking student progress.
- Collaborating with teachers, school staff, and families to support student communication needs.
- Utilizing the district's IEP system and participating in team meetings and administrative tasks related to therapy services.
Qualifications:
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC).
- Experience working with pediatric populations in school settings.
- Ability to work full-time on-site across two elementary schools.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a diverse caseload.
- Knowledge of special education regulations and therapeutic approaches for young children.
