As a Full-Time Accounts Payable Specialist at Fox Powersports Nelsons, your day-to-day expectations will be both engaging and rewarding. You'll kick off your mornings by processing invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payment while collaborating with various departments to resolve discrepancies. Expect to maintain organized records and assist with month-end closing activities, allowing you to develop critical financial skills.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

• Process and enter vendor invoices with accuracy and efficiency.
• Ensure timely payments to vendors while maintaining compliance with company policies.
• Address vendor inquiries by researching accounts and providing clear resolutions.
• Collaborate with purchasing and receiving departments to verify purchase orders, receipts, and invoices.
• Perform three-way matching to ensure invoice accuracy and proper documentation.
• Reconcile accounts to ensure financial records are up-to-date and error-free.
• Utilize software tools, including Microsoft Excel and accounting software, to streamline accounts payable processes.
• Conduct check runs and ensures proper coding of invoices.
• Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvement within the accounts payable function.
• Support the consolidation of administrative functions across multiple branches.
• Assist in accounting and reporting activities and special projects as assigned.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
• Solid understanding of accounting and finance principles.
• Ability to perform three-way matching and reconcile accounts effectively.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills to interact with vendors and internal teams.
• Capability to handle high volumes of data entry with accuracy.
