Nino Salvaggio is currently looking for an Assistant Dairy Manager for our Bloomfield location.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with managing dairy department.
• Price, stock, and rotate all dairy and frozen products.
• Assist with the interviewing, hiring, training and evaluation of a productive team of associates through supervision, work delegation and appropriate reward and discipline.
• Become familiar all products carried in the department including being fully knowledgeable in the differences between the many varieties and types of dairy products.
• Assist with ordering and maintaining inventory control to ensure freshness and product quality for maximum sales and return-on-investment.
• Follow approved procedures for ordering, receiving product, price marking, dating and restocking cases to ensure quality protection, public image, accuracy and product rotation.
• Check and verify dairy department merchandise received to ensure that all items listed on vendor invoices are delivered and meet quality standards.
• Ensure that all products carried in the department meet Nino Salvaggio International Marketplace expiration date standards.
• Maintain good communications in the store and throughout the organization.
• Greet customers and provide them with prompt and courteous service and/or assistance.
• Ensure favorable department image to customers by maintaining a clean, attractive and friendly department.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED, required.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Previous dairy/grocery experience, required.
• Must be able to stand and/or walk for 8 or more hour periods.
• Must be able to frequently bend, lift and/or move 50 pounds.
• Must be able to occasionally bend, lift and/or move 75 pounds (with assistance).
• Ability to work in cold temperatures for extended periods of time.

Compensation: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
