Job Description:

Genesis Building Attendant:
The Genesis Building Attendants are responsible for keeping both the grounds and the Genesis Facility a safe, welcoming, and clean environment for all who use the facility. All matters of safety, maintenance, customer service, and housekeeping throughout the building and grounds are the responsibility of the Building Attendant. This job requires the ability to work WEEKENDS and possibly some weekday evenings.

Genesis Facility - Hours Of Operation:

• The Genesis Facility and grounds are open for activities 7 days a week.
• Monday – Fridays hours are generally 8am-10pm.
• Saturdays-Sundays Hours are usually 7am-11pm.
• With a few exceptions, a Building Attendant should be on duty during these time periods. Note: Hours vary according to congregation and user needs.

Duties:
This description is a brief, broad overview of the responsibilities of the job and is not all-inclusive. The Genesis Facilities Coordinator will assign duties, as appropriate. When not setting up/breaking down an area the Building attendant will attend to the cleaning of the facility and grounds or making minor facility repairs for which they have been trained.

Set Up For Activities:
The Building Attendants will set up all activity areas according to the Facility Set Up Schedule Book located in the Genesis office.

• Set up according to the setup diagram in advance.
• Present the room clean, free of trash, recycling.
• Acknowledge the renter. Greet them when they arrive. Thank them when they are finished.

Breakdown of Activity Areas:
When an activity is finished, the Building Attendant will clean the area and reset the room for the next activity.

• Wipe tables and counters. Vacuum, remove trash, recycling.
• Set up room for its next scheduled activity or revert to “go to” set up.
• Activity areas could be any areas of the building and grounds used by members of the congregations and renters.

Custodial Assignments, Daily:

• Remove trash/recycling from all locations.
• Restrooms - Clean all restroom sinks, toilets, mirrors, countertops, paper dispensers.
• Sweep/Mop floors.
• Replenish paper products/hand soap.
• Wipe partitions/light switches/door handles.
• Vacuum/sweep all floors/mats.
• Clean entrance glass.
• Classrooms/kitchens/lounges/social hall - clean tables, sinks, counters, chalk trays.
• Lock all office and outside doors.

Job Type: Part-time.

Physical Setting: Religious school.

Shift Availability: Night Shift (Required).

Ability To Commute: (Required).

Work Location: In person.
