Salary Range: $64,000 - $97,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Lansing seeking Demand Planners who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts for finished goods.
• Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and promotional plans.
• Utilize statistical forecasting models and software to generate predictions.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and production teams.
• Participate in the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
• Monitor and report on forecast accuracy, identifying root causes for variance.
• Integrate new product forecasts and product life cycle changes into the demand plan.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in demand planning or forecasting, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with experience in statistical forecasting methodologies.
• Understanding of the S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) process and inventory management principles.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency with advanced planning systems (e.g., Kinaxis, Blue Yonder, Anaplan).
• Experience actively participating in or facilitating Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and present demand insights using BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Familiarity with inventory optimization techniques and their relationship to demand forecasts.
