5‑Axis CNC Milling Specialist — Aerospace Tooling

The Role: Day in the Life

You’ll start your shift reviewing blueprints and job travelers, plan your setups, and load programs. You’ll set tools, dial in work offsets, and run complex parts on multi‑axis CNC mills. As production runs, you’ll monitor quality, make on‑the‑fly adjustments, and troubleshoot issues to keep throughput on schedule. Collaboration with programming and quality teams is routine, and you’ll close the day documenting results and preparing the machine for the next run.

What You’ll Do

• Set up, adjust, and operate CNC milling machines for precision aerospace tooling.
• Run machines independently and own throughput and part quality.
• Interpret and work from complex blueprints and GD&T callouts.
• Produce on both 3‑axis and 5‑axis platforms (experience required).
• Operate and troubleshoot controls including Fidia C20, TPI 2000, Fanuc OiMD, Siemens, and Fadal.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience with CNC machines (required).
• At least 2 years operating CNC milling machines (required).
• Strong math aptitude, clear communication, and deadline awareness.
• Detail orientation with a quality‑first mindset.
• Proficiency in GD&T, CNC tooling, G‑code/M‑code, manual machining, CNC programming, equipment troubleshooting, and basic CNC machine repair.
• Previous aerospace experience is a plus.

Schedule & Work Location

• Full‑time, in person.
• 10‑hour or 12‑hour shifts; overtime and weekends as needed.
• Night Shift availability preferred; day shift may be scheduled based on business needs.
