Salary Range: $55,000 - $82,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform calibration, maintenance, and repair of precision measurement equipment.
• Operate, program, and troubleshoot Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and other advanced metrology systems.
• Conduct dimensional inspections, first article inspections, and in-process checks of manufactured parts.
• Analyze measurement data, identify non-conformances, and generate detailed inspection reports.
• Develop and optimize measurement methods, procedures, and fixturing.
• Maintain accurate calibration records and ensure compliance with quality standards (e.g., ISO 17025).
• Collaborate with engineering and production to resolve measurement-related issues and improve part quality.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency with precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMMs, optical comparators).
• Strong understanding and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and blueprint reading.
• Experience operating and/or programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs).
• Knowledge of calibration processes, measurement uncertainty, and quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Technical degree or certificate in Metrology, Machining, or a related engineering discipline.

Bonus Qualifications

• Advanced CMM programming skills (e.g., PCDMIS, Calypso) beyond basic operation.
• Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) for model-based inspection and fixture design.
• Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Yellow or Green Belt).
• Experience with specialized non-contact measurement systems (e.g., laser trackers, structured light scanners).
