Recruiting Assistant (Part Time)
Reports to: Employee Engagement Manager Company Overview DTN is a 50 year old vertically integrated real estate firm based in Lansing, MI. We are one of Michigan’s largest and well respected construction, development and ownership companies of multifamily real estate properties. Through our development and operations team, DTN seeks to create and deliver unique experiences for those choosing a DTN home or apartment. As the Recruiting Assistant, you will influence and guide the experience for those that visit a DTN owned or managed community. Job Summary The Recruiting Assistant will play a key role in supporting the recruiting process by helping source, connect and coordinate with potential candidates. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, people-oriented, and eager to gain hands-on experience. As a Recruiting Assistant, your primary responsibilities include:
- Make outreach calls and send messages to potential job candidates to introduce opportunities within DTN Management
- Schedule and confirm interviews between job candidates and hiring managers
- Maintain accurate candidate records within the Applicant Tracking System
- Assist with posting job openings on career sites, job boards and social media platforms
- Provide timely communication and follow-up with job candidates to ensure a positive hiring experience
- Support hiring managers with additional administrative tasks as needed
- A strong interest in recruiting, customer service and other essential HR functions
- Previous experience or interest in Property Management or Real Estate preferred but not required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail
- Desire to provide exceptional candidate and employee experience with poise, discretion and diplomacy
- Ability to stay organized and problem solve any number or challenges and requests
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Proficient with computers and various software platforms including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience using industry software such as Yardi and Applicant Tracking Systems preferred but not required
- Occasional availability at night and on weekends at various times during the year
- Reliable transportation to get to work daily and conduct job responsibilities
Expected Schedule: Monday – Friday (Part Time, 15-20 hours per week) - expected employment to run through 2/28/2026
