Are you skilled in the Quality Control Field? Do you have an extensive background in Metal inspections? Nesco Resource has the role for you! We are seeking Experienced Quality Technician for a Metal Extrusion client in the Garden City and Livonia, MI area.

Schedule: 3pm to 1am M-F, 3pm to 11pm Saturdays
Pay Rate: 18/hr to 24/hr, based on level of experience

Job Duties

• Perform product inspection and testing for in-progress and completed goods
• Perform material testing of aluminum billets and other products
• Ensures material, product, and manufacturing processes meet company and customer requirements.
• Use precision measuring tools (i.e. calipers, micrometers, harness, yield, tensile, stress test, etc.)
• Read and understand blueprints and schematics
• Performs Product and Process Audits
• Generate Quality inspection reports
• Generate, record, and analyze various mechanical and chemical reports
• Generate reports from audits and follow up on audit findings.
• Collaborates with Quality manager and other personnel to create and improve inspection programs to enhance product quality and processes
• Assist with calibration of equipment and tools.
• Support production personnel for any quality matter

On-Site Training

• Use of proper PPE (i.e.: safety glasses, steel toe, ear plugs, gloves, etc.).
• Safety Rules and practices
• EPIC knowledge and understanding of the applicable functions.
• Metal production processes
• SharePoint

Requirements

• High school diploma, or equivalent
• 2+ years of working experience in Quality Control and/or Manufacturing environment.
• Working experience in metal production or aluminum production preferred.
• Ability to read and write in English fluently with proficiency
• Experience using computers and Microsoft Office
• Ability to perform various physical tasks including extensive standing, walking, bending, kneeling, squatting throughout duration of shift
• Follows company Quality Management System and Health & Safety policies and procedures.
• Engages in self-learning keeping up with industry trends, new quality control techniques and methods.
