Small Business Accountant

What You’ll Do

As part of our Small Business team, you’ll be a trusted advisor to clients — not just someone behind a spreadsheet. Your day-to-day will include:

• Managing bookkeeping and keeping financial records accurate and up-to-date
• Preparing financial statements (P&L, balance sheets, cash flow)
• Running month-end closes and reconciling accounts
• Ensuring compliance with GAAP and tax regulations
• Processing payroll and handling related filings (quarterly and annual)
• Analyzing financial data and providing insights to help clients grow
• Helping clients get the most out of QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct, and other platforms
• Onboarding new clients and juggling multiple client engagements

What You Bring

We’re looking for someone who’s confident, curious, and eager to make an impact.

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
• 3+ years of hands-on accounting experience; public accounting a strong plus
• 2+ years of payroll processing experience
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct, and Microsoft Office Suite
• QuickBooks Advisor Certification (bonus points!)
• Deep understanding of accounting principles, tax regs, and financial reporting
• Strong communication and consulting skills — you know how to talk with clients, not just at them
• A valid driver’s license (because sometimes, we visit clients IRL)
