Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement inventory control strategies to optimize stock levels, minimize carrying costs, and ensure material availability.
• Oversee the planning and scheduling of materials to meet production demands and customer orders using MRP/ERP systems.
• Manage supplier relationships and procurement processes to ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials at competitive prices.
• Lead and develop the materials team, including purchasing, inventory control, and warehouse personnel.
• Monitor and analyze key materials metrics such as inventory turns, on-time delivery, and material costs to drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with production, sales, and engineering departments to align material plans with overall business objectives.
• Implement and maintain efficient material handling and storage processes within the manufacturing facility.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in materials management, supply chain, or procurement within a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for inventory control, demand planning, and procurement.
• Strong analytical and forecasting skills, with proven ability to optimize inventory levels and support S&OP processes.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities, including vendor management, negotiation, and team development.

Bonus Qualifications

• APICS CPIM or CSCP certification.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Experience with advanced planning systems (e.g., SAP APO, Kinaxis RapidResponse).
• Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for supply chain analytics.
