The Opportunity
At Ally, we're relentless about doing the right thing and delivering results that matter. In this newly created role on the Strategic Initiatives & Ops Readiness team within Operational Excellence in Customer Care and Operations (CCO), you'll support the translation of strategy into action by helping plan, prepare, and execute high-priority operational initiatives across the CCO organization. You'll bring structure, analysis, and coordination to complex work, ensuring initiatives are clearly defined, well-sequenced, and ready for execution.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, thrives in cross-functional environments, and is motivated by turning strategic intent into tangible operational outcomes.
The Work Itself
- Support translation of CCO strategic priorities into executable operational plans and roadmaps.
- Assist with annual and quarterly planning activities, including initiative intake, sizing, and prioritization support.
- Develop detailed workplans, timelines, dependency maps, and readiness artifacts to support execution.
- Coordinate readiness activities across people, process, technology, and controls to ensure initiatives are prepared for delivery.
- Document concept summaries, requirements, assumptions, operational impacts, and success measures for assigned initiatives.
- Track risks, issues, dependencies, and action items, escalating concerns as appropriate.
- Prepare clear, concise materials for working sessions, governance forums, and leadership updates.
- Support execution of ops-contained or short-cycle initiatives, as needed.
- Partner with Operational Performance & Oversight to support post-deployment outcome tracking and validation.
The Skills You Bring
Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to organize complex information into clear, structured insights.
- Experience supporting process analysis, journey mapping, or operational reviews in cross-functional environments.
- Ability to identify patterns in data and help translate findings into practical recommendations.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively across operations, analytics, technology, and business teams.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information in a concise and organized way.
- 3+ years' experience within financial services or similarly regulated environments preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and process visualization tools (e.g., Visio or equivalent).
- Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience.

Base Pay Range:
An individual's position in the range is determined by the scope and responsibilities of the role, work experience, education, certification(s), training, and additional qualifications. We review internal pay, the competitive market, and business environment prior to extending an offer.

Incentive Compensation: This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan
