Job Coach/Paraprofessional

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Job Coach to join our team. This role focuses on working with adults with intellectual disabilities, guiding them in learning about employment processes, career exploration, and personal/professional skill development. The ideal candidate will provide hands-on support, individualized coaching, and resources to help clients overcome barriers to employment and achieve long-term success.

Key Responsibilities

• Client Support: Work directly with adults/clients with intellectual disabilities to assess their strengths & goals
• Skill Building: Guide clients through learning essential personal and professional skills, including workplace behavior, communication, and time management.
• Career Exploration: Help clients identify potential career paths through supported employment
• Hands-On Training: Assist clients in gaining practical experience at our various job sites across the county. Coach clients to perform the necessary tasks at each job site.
• Monitoring and Feedback: Track clients’ progress, provide constructive feedback, and adjust strategies as needed to support their goals.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of interactions, progress, and outcomes in line with organizational policies.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or higher
• Experience:
• At least 1 year of experience in career coaching, disability services, or a related field.
• Skills:
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to connect effectively with clients.
• Ability to provide individualized support and adapt coaching strategies based on clients’ unique needs.
• Attributes:
• Patient, empathetic, and dedicated to helping others achieve their potential.
• Creative problem-solving abilities and a positive mindset.
• Motivated team player who thrives in a collaborative environment. Organized and able to maintain proper records and paperwork.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
