SYSTEMS TECHNICIAN - AUBURN HILLS, MI

OVERVIEW:

We are hiring Systems Technicians to support product manufacturing and systems integration. This is a hands-on role where you’ll use your electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and computer skills to assemble, test, and troubleshoot robotics systems. Candidates with a Machine Tool Electrician background are strongly encouraged to apply.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform product assembly, modification, and system integration using engineering documentation, prints, and schematics.
• Layout, setup, and secure robots and associated equipment.
• Energize and manipulate robot axes, load/upgrade software, and teach simple robot paths.
• Conduct system testing, functional verification, and troubleshooting/debugging of technical problems.
• Repair, retrofit, and prepare systems for shipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards (HazMat, Lockout/Tagout, robot safety procedures).
• Accurately track work using internal systems and maintain proper tool care.
• Support production demands, which may include scheduled overtime or second shift.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associate degree or Technical Certificate in Electronics, or 2+ years relevant hands-on experience.
• Strong background in industrial electrical systems (Machine Tool Electrician experience preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering documentation, prints, and schematics (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic).
• Automation/Robotics experience preferred.
• CONVEYOR EXPERIENCE PREFERRED.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 requirements and MIOSHA regulations.
• Solid communication skills and strong teamwork ethic.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate equipment safely.

SCHEDULE:

• Must be open to both 1st and 2nd shift
• 1st shift: Mon-Thurs (6AM-4:30PM), Friday (6AM-2:30PM), & 1-2 Saturdays a month
• 2nd shift: Mon-Thurs (2PM-12:30AM), Friday (12PM-8:30PM), & 1-2 Saturdays a month
• Locations: Auburn Hills, Rochester Hills, Pontiac, & Shelby - Preferred candidates are open to working at all locations when needed
