TITLE: FRASER HS FRESHMAN VOLLEYBALL COACH

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • One or more years of coaching experience at sub varsity level or applicable other Volleyball experience.
  • Knowledge of teaching skills in a safe environment.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Communicative with students – staff – parents.
  • CPR/AED Certified or Certified prior to start of season
  • MHSAA CAP Program Level I or II
  • Team player.
  • Ability to perform at a high energy level.
  • Flexible.
  • Detail oriented.

REPORTS TO: Fraser Public School Athletic Director/Varsity Volleyball Coach

SUPERVISES: Student athletes in the HS Volleyball program

JOB GOAL:

  • To help each participating student athlete achieve at high level of skill, an appreciation for the values of discipline and sportsmanship, and an increased level of self-esteem.
  • To assist in the direction and leadership of our volleyball program.
  • Train and develop athletes to perform all skills safely.
  • Manage facility and equipment inventories.

ASSIGNED RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leadership:

  • Shall, except in emergencies, attend all events and functions associated directly with their teams.
  • Establish a sense of direction for the student athletes while participating in the volleyball program.
  • Support the line of communication with all coaches within the volleyball program.
  • Promote and project leadership qualities for our student-athletes.
  • Is a role model of coaching for our staff, parents, community and students.
  • Contribute to the standards of all academic, athletic and extra-curricular programs.
  • Follows and adheres to and the Fraser Athletic Code of Conduct.
  • Turn in all forms that are needed by the Athletic Department in a timely manner.
  • Perform any other functions that the Athletic Director deems necessary.
  • Availability to participate in summer camps and activities

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Through the sport season as determined by the Program Director/Administration.

EVALUATION: The position will be evaluated yearly by the Fraser Public Schools Athletic Director.
