CDL Driver/Light mechanic

Morrison Industrial Equipment is seeking a CDL Licensed Mechanic for our Muskegon branch located at 841 East Barney Ave., Muskegon, MI 49444 .

We are looking for a skilled and dependable individual with a CDL A license and strong mechanical aptitude. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for the local transportation and delivery of equipment , while also assisting with light mechanical and maintenance work as needed.

This is a full-time, first-shift position working Monday through Friday, averaging around 40 hours per week , with opportunities for overtime available. Starting compensation depends on experience and ranges from $22-26/hr.

Our CDL Licensed Technicians Typically: 

• Have a Valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) with a clean driving record. 

• Have a high school diploma or equivalent. 

• Proven experience as a technician or mechanic is preferred. 

• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills. 

• Excellent problem-solving abilities. 

• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials. 

• Good communication and teamwork skills. 

• Willingness to learn and adapt to the dynamic needs of the job. 

• Work Independently with Minimum Supervision. 

• Value the Importance of Safety. 

• Ability to lift 80 pounds due to Lift and Move Functions. 

Essential Functions: 

Technician Work : 

• Diagnose and Repair Equipment Breakdowns 

• Communicating Effectively any Needed Repairs with Customers 

• Complete Work Orders in a Timely Manner 

• Coordinate with Parts and Service Department Daily 

• Comply with all Safety Procedures within Morrison’s Guidelines 

• Consistently and Reliably attend Shift Ready to Work when Scheduled 

• Perform any Other Duties as Assigned 

Driving Responsibilities : 

• Keep an Accurate Detailed Record of Delivery and Pickup 

• Monitor Truck Maintenance 

• Maintain Accurate Inventory of Packages and Materials 

• Load and Unload Vehicle According to Time Allotted  

• Administrative Tasks such as Printing Paperwork, Planning Routes, Managing Emails 

• Assist with Training 

• Consistently and Reliably attend Shift Ready to Work when Scheduled 

• Perform any Other Duties as Assigned
