The Chaldean Community Foundation (CCF) improves the stability, health, and wellness of those we serve through advocacy, acculturation, community development and cultural preservation.

The Executive Administrative Assistant will work directly with the CCF President and provide executive support in a one-on-one working relationship. The Executive Administrative Assistant will work in both the Sterling Heights and West Bloomfield locations.

The Executive Administrative Assistant serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies on all matters pertaining to the CCF President. The Executive Administrative Assistant also serves as a liaison to the board of directors and senior management teams; organizes and coordinates executive outreach and external relations efforts; and oversees special projects.

The Executive Administrative Assistant must be creative and enjoy working within a small, entrepreneurial environment that is mission-driven, results-driven and community oriented. The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Primary assistant to CCF President.
  • Completes a broad variety of administrative tasks for the President including managing an extremely active calendar of appointments.
  • Composing and preparing correspondence that may include information of a confidential nature.
  • Arranging complex and detailed travel plans, itineraries, and agendas; and compiling documents for travel-related meetings.
  • Researches, prioritizes, and follows up on incoming issues and concerns addressed to the President, including those of a sensitive or confidential nature. Determines appropriate course of action, referral, or response.
  • Works closely and effectively with the President to keep him well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, following up appropriately.
  • Prepares agendas and schedules for meetings.
  • Records and distributes the minutes or other records for meetings.
  • Assists with staff events, meetings, and various off-site functions.
  • Assists with food orders, preparation, serving, and cleaning.
  • Available to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures
  • Knowledge of computers and relevant software applications
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and practices

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Occasional standing and walking around the office.
  • Regular bending and reaching may be required.
  • Ability to lift or carry items up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Ability to operate office equipment.
