Senior Account Strategist

Evenbound
Grand Haven, MI

At Evenbound, we exist to empower our clients and our team members to reach their full potential as we create and grow end-to-end solutions on HubSpot. We are a growth marketing agency, specializing in HubSpot, digital transformation, and marketing strategy. We commonly execute HubSpot implementations & onboardings, website projects and Team as a Service retainers for our clients. Our team is growing, and we are looking for a Senior Account Strategist to take us to the next level.

What You’ll Do

As a Senior Account Strategist at Evenbound, you will serve as the strategic lead and primary point of contact for a portfolio of client accounts. You will collaborate closely with Program Managers to guide clients through successful engagements, leaning on your expertise in marketing strategy, RevOps, and HubSpot solutions. You’ll be tasked with translating big-picture goals into actionable strategies — all while building deep, consultative relationships. You will report directly to the Director of Client Experience.

You will be measured on client retention, satisfaction, growth, and the strategic outcomes you deliver. This is a key role in ensuring our clients are supported, empowered, and seeing real business impact from their work with us.

Responsibilities:

  • Client Leadership: Act as the trusted advisor and main point of contact for your clients. Lead strategic conversations, uncover growth opportunities, and clearly articulate the value of our work in solving their most pressing challenges.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop tailored Go-To-Market strategies based on client goals and market context. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment across all project workstreams.
  • Performance Analysis: Create reports and dashboards in HubSpot and other tools to evaluate performance. Pull insights from data and present findings to clients in a compelling, easy-to-understand narrative.
  • Sales Strategy & Growth: Support account growth through thoughtful upselling, renewals, and retention initiatives — always with the client’s long-term success in mind.
  • Collaboration: Partner closely with your Program Manager to coordinate execution. Work cross-functionally with content creators, developers, and technical experts to bring your strategic vision to life.
  • Mentorship & Team Support: Provide leadership, mentorship, and oversight to an assigned Account Manager. Offer guidance on client engagement, strategic thinking, and internal coordination to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery and professional growth.
  • Client Success: Hold yourself to a high standard of client care. Proactively communicate, address concerns with confidence, and continually seek to improve the client experience.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience, ideally in an agency setting
  • A strong background in marketing, with expertise in HubSpot, inbound strategy, RevOps, and marketing operations.
  • Hold at least 8 HubSpot certifications
  • Experience in a client-facing role where you've led accounts and cultivated long-term relationships.
  • Confidence in analyzing data, identifying trends, and using insights to inform client recommendations.
  • Sales experience with a human-first approach — you're comfortable discussing budgets, contracts, and growth paths.
  • Exceptional communication skills, especially when it comes to clearly conveying strategy, saying 'no' with grace, and aligning diverse stakeholders.
  • A love of collaboration. You work well in team settings, contributing ideas and welcoming diverse perspectives.
  • Organizational superpowers. You’re skilled at juggling multiple accounts and priorities without missing a beat.
  • A balance of execution and vision — you can zoom in to troubleshoot a project detail and zoom out to steer a long-term roadmap.
  • Comfortable managing 10–12 accounts with a total portfolio of $85,000+ monthly MRR. (encompasses the 2-4 accounts managed by the account manager)

Special consideration for candidates with knowledge of lean methodology and/or the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS).

Our Core Values

Our Core Values determine how we show up and interact with each other and our clients. We act with integrity, strategy, and authenticity in everything we do. We take our work - but not ourselves - seriously, and we value being able to laugh and connect with one another.

  • Technical expertise.
  • Strategic thinking.
  • Exceptional communication.
  • Start fast. Learn fast.
  • Win and grow as a team.

Pay Band: $95-115k annually + bonus and commission

Benefits and Perks:

  • Health + Dental Insurance
  • Bonus Program
  • Flexible work time
  • PTO: 18 Vacation Days, 16 Paid Holidays + your birthday off!
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Company-paid short term disability
  • Voluntary long-term disability + life insurance

Work where you want, when you want. At Evenbound, we believe we work best when we set our own productive schedules. That flexibility extends to where we work, too. While we have an office in downtown Grand Haven that we love, our team is distributed and works remotely (you are welcome to visit the office anytime). There's no weekly "in the office" quota to meet — we work to get work done, however that works for you.

Regular team meet-ups. Since the Evenbound team is primarily remote, we work hard to schedule team meet-up opportunities when we can. From camping to ski trips to industry conferences, we believe that hanging out in person makes our team stronger, helping to build real relationships in a virtual world.

Our Tech Stack

We don’t expect everyone to have experience with the technology that we use, but if you do, we certainly want to know about it. Here is a basic list of technologies we use:

  • HubSpot
  • G Suite
  • Google Ads
  • Google Analytics
  • Slack
  • ClickUp
  • PandaDoc
  • LucidChart
  • Zoom
  • Fathom
  • ChatGPT

Our Commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, + Belonging

Evenbound’s mission - our reason for existing - is to empower our clients + team members to reach their full potential. To us, that means every single person on and engaging with our team has the right to feel they belong in an inclusive, equitable, and diverse work experience.

We’re committed to learning and growing. This Core Value of ours speaks to the fact we acknowledge there’s a lot of space to learn, grow, and support the areas of DEIB, both now and in the future. We understand the responsibility we have to elevate underrepresented voices, to take an active role in promoting equity and belonging, and to always seek opportunities to create more inclusive ways for all individuals to be able to show up authentically just as they are.
