Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic / Millwright

Location: Holland, MI

Shift: 2nd Shift

Pay: Up to $35+/hr.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic / Millwright to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical systems, including presses and auxiliary equipment. The ideal candidate will also support new equipment installations, upgrades, and general maintenance tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose mechanical malfunctions or equipment failures and perform necessary repairs.
• Apply preventive maintenance practices to reduce recurring issues.
• Conduct periodic testing of equipment; recommend or implement modifications or replacements as needed.
• Identify root causes of equipment failures and execute corrective actions.
• Work with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Provide guidance and support to team members while collaborating with others.
• Assist engineering with the setup, assembly, and implementation of new or upgraded mechanical equipment.
• Replace, repair, or adjust defective or worn mechanical components.
• Perform rigging and equipment installation tasks.
• Conduct pipe fitting as required.
• Install, maintain, and service a variety of equipment and machinery.
• Follow lockout/tagout procedures during service, repair, or installation.
• Perform general building and grounds maintenance.
• Operate forklifts and aerial platforms as needed.
• Support fellow maintenance technicians with troubleshooting and repairs in all stamping environments.
• Complete additional tasks or projects as assigned.
• Contribute to operational goals and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with 5S standards.
• Uphold workplace safety and ensure quality standards are met.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a metal stamping or related environment.
• Welding and fabrication skills required.
• Experience with mills and lathes helpful.
• State of Michigan Journeyman Millwright certification (or equivalent).

Physical Requirements:

• Moderate physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling for extended periods.
• Ability to read and use precision measuring tools.
• Regularly lift, push, pull, or move up to 55 lbs; occasionally up to 75 lbs.
• Required to wear PPE, including OSHA-approved footwear, safety glasses, and hearing protection; additional PPE as required by task.
