40 Normal (United States of America) : The Biomedical Equipment Technician I highly technical position that serves our patients through creative, high quality, biomedical equipment support and technical assistance for clinical associates in a professional, timely and cost effective manner. This individual is required to have a high level of specialized technical ability in problem solving, use of test equipment and service documentation to maintain a wide variety of equipment types used for patient diagnostics and treatment, clinical laboratory, radiology, surgery and other medical and support departments. JOB QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation. Minimum Required: Associate of Applied Sciences Degree, or certificate of equivalent Military/Technical education, in Biomedical Engineering/Equipment Technology or Associates of Applied Sciences Degree, equivalent Military/Technical education, in Electronics Engineering/Equipment Technology. Preferred/Optional: Associate of Applied Sciences Degree, or certificate of equivalent Military/Technical education, in Biomedical Engineering/Equipment Technology. EXPERIENCE Minimum Required: Biomedical Engineering/Equipment Technology internship or equivalent internship experience. Ability to work independently and as team member with other staff with minimal supervision and under high stress situations. Preferred/Optional: None CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position. Minimum Required: Valid State of Wisconsin driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Preferred/Optional: AAMI Credentials Institute (AMI), Certified Biomedical Electronics Technician (CBET), Certified Radiology Equipment Specialist (CRES), or Certified Laboratory Equipment Specialist (CLES) certification.
