Radiologic Technologist Job Details

• Location: Detroit, MI 48202 (Detroit healthcare jobs)
• Facility: Hospital – Radiology Department, CT (ER Setting)
• Assignment Length: 13-week travel contract
• Schedule: 4x10 hour shifts per week; every other weekend required
• Shift Options: 6:00am–4:30pm or 8:00am–6:30pm
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• On-Call: No on-call required
• Start Date: August 11, 2025
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2500 - $2560

Radiologic Technologist Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist, including Level 1 Trauma Center experience
• Current BLS certification (Basic Life Support)
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with advanced CT registry or registry-eligible
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
• Experience with GE and Siemens CT technology preferred
• Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical support skills
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced emergency room (ER) environment

Radiologic Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform CT imaging procedures and general diagnostic radiology exams for ER patients
• Prepare and position patients for CT scans, explaining procedures clearly
• Review clinical data and obtain relevant patient history for accurate imaging
• Set up and operate GE and Siemens CT equipment, ensuring optimal image quality
• Administer intravenous contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions
• Assist radiologists with complex sterile diagnostic procedures, including biopsies
• Maintain strict radiation safety and adhere to ALARA principles
• Document procedures accurately in PACS/RIS and maintain patient records
• Demonstrate excellence in teamwork, communication, and patient-centered care
