We are currently seeking a full-time Clinical Director to augment a large, existing clinical center in Traverse City.

Plus, be part of our Employee-Owner program, giving you a voice in company decision-making as well as a share of company profits. The successful candidate in this role will earn over $100,000 in total compensation annually.

Our robust benefits package includes 15+ days Paid Time Off (up to 25 over time), as well as medical, dental, vision, STD/LTD, life insurance, maternity/paternity leave, 401K match, mental health services, and more.

Job Description

Under the direction of a Regional Clinical Director, the Clinical Director is responsible for overseeing and managing the therapeutic needs of the clients being served in and around the clinical center. The Clinical Director is responsible for achieving specific clinical quality objectives, while also achieving the financial plan for the center. This person is responsible for managing a small caseload, while overseeing behavior technician and Behavior Analyst performance. The Clinical Director also analyzes data collected by behavior technicians and program supervisors to determine if the interventions they created are effective in creating the desired behavior change for the client. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical, administrative, and leadership capabilities to achieve the best possible outcomes for the clients and families we serve.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to, the following:

  • Collaborate with leadership to establish and achieve clinical and business performance objectives for the region;
  • Provide oversight and monitoring of behavioral assessments and treatment programs to ensure high quality, effective, and ethical practices;
  • Provide mentorship to clinicians assisting with growth and development of clinical skills;
  • Effectively model and lead a positive team environment, focusing on a supportive culture and work-life balance for all staff;
  • Provide meaningful employee training to effectively grow and develop skills;
  • Understand and demonstrate expertise in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis;
  • Organize and facilitate supervision hours of BCBA candidates;
  • Effectively collaborate with all North Arrow ABA team members, caregivers, community agencies, schools, therapy providers, and medical teams as appropriate in the region;
  • Understand company policies and procedures and the ability to relay, enforce, and direct policies to team members and caregivers;
  • Conduct client onboarding, including timely responses to caregiver inquiries, initial pre-screenings, and intake processes;
  • Conduct employee interviews and oversee onboarding of new hires;
  • Maintain a small client caseload;
  • Give and receive feedback to/from staff, peers and supervisors;
  • Managing the region’s budget to the business plan, to include staff salaries and various operating costs, from supplies to regional event and activities budgets;
  • Carry and model the company culture and North Arrow ABA values of Community, Quality, Effectiveness, and Efficiency;
  • Must be capable to meet the physical demands of the job, to include the ability to carry and/or lift up to 50 lbs;
  • Strict adherence to BACB Professional and Ethical Compliance code.

Availability & Location

  • Primarily work from the designated Clinical Center location, with occasional travel to other regions for monthly clinical meetings and other company events;
  • Typical clinical center hours are Monday through Friday 8am-8pm; subject to client needs; center opening and closing duties are typically shared across clinical staff;
  • Flexible schedule opportunities, subject to our general expectation for in-person leadership and our belief that remote/telehealth ABA is not preferred/best practice.

Previous Experience & Educational Requirements

  • Minimum of a Masters Degree in ABA or equivalent field required;
  • Current certification as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst by BACB required;
  • A minimum of five (5) years experience in the field of ABA and in treatment of individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder required;
  • A minimum of three (3) years experience in a Clinical Director or similar role is required;
  • Previous experience and familiarity with the business aspects of ABA service delivery, balancing quality and cost, managing to budgets, reading financial statements, etc. is strongly preferred;
  • Proven organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and ability to consistently and reliably follow through on commitments made;
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

Our organization is an equal opportunity employer committed to creating a diverse environment. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds without regard to race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, disability, or any other protected status.
