Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage Splunk dashboards, reports, alerts, and visualizations .
- Develop custom Splunk queries using SPL (Search Processing Language) for monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Onboard and normalize new data sources using field extractions, tags, event types, and knowledge objects.
- Collaborate with Security and DevOps teams to implement real-time monitoring and alerting use cases.
- Configure and maintain Splunk forwarders, indexers, and deployment servers .
- Tune performance of Splunk searches and indexes to ensure optimal system performance.
- Implement and manage data models and accelerated data sets .
- Create and maintain technical documentation related to Splunk integrations and configurations.
- Ensure data security and compliance through proper role-based access controls within Splunk.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- 3 5 years of experience working with Splunk in a developer or administrator capacity.
- Strong expertise in SPL, dashboard development, and data ingestion pipelines .
- Experience with log analysis, SIEM, and IT operations monitoring .
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and scripting (Shell, Python, etc.).
- Understanding of security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO, HIPAA) is a plus.
- Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, and Splunk SDKs is an advantage.
- Splunk certifications (e.g., Splunk Core Certified Power User or Developer ) preferred.
