Forklift Logistics Technician (Reach & Counterbalance)

About the role

Location: Saint Joseph, MI

Reports to: Production Supervisor or Designee

From the moment you clock in, you’re the link between production and customers. You’ll inspect your reach and counterbalance forklifts, review pick lists, and keep materials moving—whether you’re staging parts for assembly, transacting moves in Epicor, or loading a semi for outbound shipment. Your focus: safe, accurate, and efficient material flow in and out of the warehouse.

What you’ll do

• Retrieve finished goods from assembly and prepare them for shipment using the correct systems and transactions.
• Receive inbound materials and place them into inventory with accurate system entries.
• Execute all material movements in Epicor to maintain real-time inventory accuracy.
• Operate gas- or electric-powered industrial trucks and material handling equipment.
• Drive reach and counterbalance forklifts confidently and safely.
• Load and unload semi-trailers efficiently.
• Pitch in on related tasks and special projects as assigned.

What you bring

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 6–12 months operating material handling equipment; 1–3 months related experience in a similar environment.
• Understanding of precise inventory transactions and why accuracy matters.
• Team-first mindset with the ability to partner across departments to meet goals.
• Trained or trainable on forklifts and other MHE; able to operate basic hand tools (air drivers, wrenches, etc.).
• Comfort with RF scanners, tablets, and ERP systems (Epicor preferred); basic computer/data entry skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions; solid basic math; reliable work ethic; able to work independently and on a team.

Physical requirements

• Walk long distances repeatedly throughout the day.
• Climb step stools/small ladders as needed.
• Lift packages up to 50 pounds.
• Frequent bending or stooping.
• Stand/walk 8+ hours per day.
