Maintenance Technician
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team in Plymouth, Michigan. This full-time, hourly position offers competitive pay, overtime opportunities, and the chance to work in a collaborative, growth-focused environment. The Maintenance Technician will perform advanced maintenance and repairs on plant equipment, ensuring reliability and optimal performance in our manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Use hand tools, power tools, and precision instruments to repair and maintain machinery according to blueprints, manuals, and specifications.
- Perform preventive maintenance and advanced troubleshooting on plant equipment.
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical issues.
- Follow all safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures.
- Document processes and ensure compliance with operational standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and fluid dynamic systems .
- Skilled in troubleshooting, calibration, and preventive maintenance.
- Proficient in lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and safety practices.
- Hands-on experience with equipment monitoring, repair, and process documentation.
- Ability to train, mentor, and collaborate effectively with team members.
- Strong manual dexterity and ability to handle heavy objects.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5+ years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred:
- Powered Industrial Equipment Certification.
Physical Requirements:
- Lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
- Stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, and work in confined spaces.
- Push/pull objects up to 50 pounds.
- Work in noisy environments and from elevated platforms.
