Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician for our 2nd shift team, working from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends when necessary. The role involves maintaining and supporting product-specific work cells to minimize downtime and optimize productivity, focusing on power transmission mechanical systems in the mixing/mill area.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and support for product-specific work cells to minimize downtime and optimize productivity.
• Respond promptly to downtime situations to restore machine functionality.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on all work cells and document the maintenance performed.
• Evaluate and identify potential future maintenance needs/issues.
• Perform process verification procedures and follow process deviation procedures when changing parameters.
• Conduct repairs including fabricating, replacing bearings, repairing hydraulic pumps, cooling pumps, conveyors, belts, drives, and drive material transfers.
• Perform minor facility maintenance repairs and collaborate with others on maintenance issues.

Essential Skills

• 5 years of experience in maintenance and preventive maintenance.
• 3 years of experience with hydraulic and pneumatic repairs.
• 3 years of experience in reading blueprints.
• Experience in facilities maintenance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with heavy mixing equipment.
• Knowledge in automation.
• Experience in the automotive industry.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of GRAND RAPIDS, MI.

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00/hr.
