About the Role:

The Used Car Sales position at Preferred Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Chrysler Grand Haven is pivotal in driving the dealership's success by connecting customers with quality pre-owned vehicles. The primary goal is to provide an exceptional buying experience that fosters customer loyalty and satisfaction. This role requires a deep understanding of the automotive market, including vehicle features, pricing strategies, and financing options, to effectively meet customer needs. Sales professionals will be responsible for building relationships with clients, understanding their preferences, and guiding them through the purchasing process. Ultimately, the success in this role contributes to the dealership's reputation and profitability in the competitive retail automotive industry.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in the automotive industry.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience with CRM software and sales tracking tools.
  • Knowledge of automotive financing and leasing options.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with customers to understand their vehicle needs and preferences.
  • Provide detailed information about available used cars, including features, pricing, and financing options.
  • Conduct test drives and assist customers in evaluating vehicles.
  • Negotiate sales agreements and close deals while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of used cars and ensure all vehicles are presented in excellent condition.

Skills:

Strong communication skills are essential for engaging with customers and understanding their needs, which is a daily requirement in this role. Sales skills, including negotiation and closing techniques, are utilized to finalize deals and ensure customer satisfaction. Organizational skills are important for managing inventory and maintaining vehicle presentation standards. Familiarity with automotive technology and features allows sales professionals to effectively educate customers about their options. Additionally, problem-solving skills are crucial for addressing customer concerns and providing tailored solutions throughout the sales process.
