Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic purchasing plans and policies for raw materials and components.
• Source, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers, negotiating favorable terms, prices, and contracts.
• Manage and optimize supplier relationships, monitoring performance, quality, and delivery.
• Drive cost reduction initiatives and achieve savings targets without compromising quality or supply.
• Collaborate with production and inventory teams to ensure optimal stock levels and timely material availability.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the purchasing team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and relevant industry regulations.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive purchasing and procurement experience, with a significant portion in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation, contract management, and cost reduction.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement software.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, raw materials, and supply chain best practices.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing and developing purchasing teams.

Bonus Qualifications

• Advanced ERP/MRP system implementation or optimization experience.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Experience with international sourcing, import/export regulations, and global logistics.
• Familiarity with specific industry quality standards (e.g., ISO, AS9100, IATF 16949).
