Job Site Supervisor & Crew

Job Overview

CertaPro Painters of Grand Rapids is seeking top-notch subcontract painting crews (2–4+ painters) to support a steady flow of commercial and residential projects. We’re looking for professional crews who take pride in prep, clean finishes, jobsite organization, and customer experience. Crews with light carpentry/repair skills are strongly preferred.

This is subcontract work with consistent opportunities for crews who deliver quality, communicate well, and close out jobs strong.

Responsibilities

• Complete commercial and residential painting projects (interior/exterior) to scope and schedule
• Perform high-quality prep work: masking, covering/protection, patching, sanding, caulking, priming, and surface repairs
• Apply coatings using brush/roll and spray (as applicable) while maintaining clean lines and consistent finishes
• Maintain clean, safe, and professional jobsites (occupied homes and active commercial environments)
• Communicate daily progress and job needs with production management/JSS
• Complete punch lists efficiently and support final walkthrough readiness
• Perform light carpentry/repairs as needed (minor wood repair, trim replacement, small patch/rot repair, etc.)
• Follow safety expectations and jobsite standards, supporting OSHA-aligned practices

Requirements / Qualifications

• Established crew of 2–4+ with proven painting experience in commercial and residential work
• Strong craftsmanship with attention to detail and consistent finish quality
• Reliable transportation, tools, and ability to meet schedules
• Professional communication and respect for customer property
• Ability to follow scopes, documentation, and jobsite procedures
• Light carpentry/repair skills strongly preferred
• General Liability insurance and Workers Comp (as applicable)
• Ability to provide photos/references of recent projects
• Spray experience
• Lift/scaffold experience is a plus
• Willingness to travel for commercial work is a big plus
