We are seeking a highly experienced Vice President to lead and shape our sports apparel and gear supply chain strategy. In this pivotal role, you will oversee manufacturing and supplier partnerships, manage fulfillment and logistics, and optimize warehouse inventory management to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.   • Supply Chain Strategy
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive supply chain strategy for sports apparel and gear, aligning it with the company's business objectives.
    • Establish strategic sourcing and procurement practices to ensure the highest quality products at competitive costs.
    • Continuously assess industry trends, market demands, and emerging technologies to enhance supply chain efficiency.
    • Develop strategies and processes to mitigate risk and develop contingency plans when the supply chain is disrupted including, but not limited to: diversifying suppliers, modifying strategy, scenario mapping
  • Manufacturing and Supplier Partnerships
    • Identify, evaluate, and manage manufacturing and supplier partners, both domestically and internationally.
    • Negotiate contracts and agreements to optimize costs, quality, and lead times.
    • Foster strong relationships with partners to ensure reliable and consistent supply.
  • Fulfillment and Logistics
    • Oversee end-to-end logistics, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
    • Develop and implement strategies to streamline order fulfillment processes and reduce delivery lead times.
    • Collaborate with logistics providers to ensure on-time delivery and cost-efficient operations.
  • Warehouse Inventory Management
    • Implement best practices for warehouse inventory management, including demand forecasting, inventory control, and SKU optimization.
    • Establish efficient systems for inventory tracking, replenishment, and cycle counting.
    • Minimize excess inventory and carrying costs while ensuring product availability.
    • Stay in compliance with all CP standards set forth by pro leagues on a yearly basis.
    • Manage inventory levels for any transitions of old apparel designs/logos etc.
  • Cost Efficiency and Optimization
    • Identify cost-saving opportunities throughout the supply chain and implement initiatives to maximize operational efficiency.
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and improve supply chain performance.
    • Drive continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives.
    • Evaluate existing technology, and determine the best systems and implementation to optimize success and prepare for growth.
  • Team Leadership
    • Build and lead a high-performing supply chain team, providing mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities.
    • Foster a collaborative and results-driven team culture that encourages innovation and accountability.
  • Compliance and Sustainability
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to sports apparel and gear.
    • Develop and implement sustainability initiatives to align with corporate responsibility goals.
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Extensive experience (8-10 years) in supply chain leadership roles, ideally within the sports apparel and gear industry.
  • Certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional from APICS and/or Certified Professional in Supply Management preferred
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing, sourcing, and procurement practices.
  • Proven track record of optimizing logistics and warehouse operations.
  • Exceptional negotiation, contract management, and vendor relationship skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to drive cost efficiencies and process improvements.
  • Proficiency in supply chain software and analytics tools.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and team-building skills.
Additional Position Details:
  • Travel Expectations: This role is expected to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Department: Supply Chain
  • Reports to: Chief Operating Officer
  • Supervisory Responsibilities: Multiple direct reports including directors and managers
  • Work Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Friday with occasional nights and weekends
  • Compensation Structure: Salaried (Paid semi-monthly), FLSA-Exempt, eligible for discretionary annual bonus
  • Location: Hybrid - Sylvan Lake, MI - This position will regularly work at least 3 days per week on-site at the RCX Sports office in Sylvan Lake, MI and may occasionally work from home.
