Job Details:

• Work on a 28-bed Medical Surgical Unit with diverse patient population including general and vascular surgery, bariatric surgery, plastic surgery, trauma, and stroke patients
• Fast-paced, challenging environment with excellent learning opportunities for both graduate and experienced nurses
• Every other weekend schedule required
• No on-call responsibilities
• 2+ years of Medical Surgical experience required
• Travel experience preferred
• Michigan nursing license required with LARA and Nursys verification
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Skills checklist completed within one year of application required
• Must maintain strict attendance policy - 3 strikes for absences or being more than 20 minutes late results in immediate termination
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team to develop individualized patient care plans
• Provide patient-centered care focused on safety and quality outcomes
• Participate in evidence-based and holistic nursing practices
• Engage with Unit Based Council for shared governance and healthy work environment
• Utilize clinical pathways, patient education, and interactive communication
• Demonstrate effective communication through collegial relationships and SBAR
• Support new team members during orientation and professional development
