College Work Study Program and Data Coordinator

Job Function

Assist with data collection, tracking and basic analysis to support program operations and reporting. Provides coordination support including scheduling, documentation, and student facing communications.

Job Responsibilities

The Student Program & Data Coordinator provides assistance with program coordination, data analytics, and research support for the Michigan Maritime Manufacturing, Workforce and Continuing Education, Engineering and Advanced Technology training programs. This role supports program operations, student intake workflows, data analysis, reporting, scheduling, and career readiness initiatives.

• Aid with coordinating information session registration, student intake, including appointment scheduling, tracking, and follow-up.
• Support planning and execution of student information sessions, orientations, and workshops.
• Prepare agendas, materials, and attendance tracking for program events.
• Aid with collecting, cleaning, and analyzing program data related to enrollment, attendance, completion, retention, and placement outcomes.
• Update spreadsheets, dashboards, and tracking tools as directed.
• Assist with long-term data tracking and cohort comparisons.
• Assist with conducting research on workforce trends, employer demand, and labor market data to support program planning.
• Prepare data summaries and charts as directed.
• Support organization of student resume portfolios under staff guidance and assist with portfolio assembly.
• Assist with preparation of internal reports, summaries, and program updates as directed.

Education

High School Diploma and some college coursework in Business Management, Data Analytics, Information Technology, Project Management, Operations Management, or Office Administration.
***since this is a work study position, all applicants must be a current Macomb Community College student working towards a degree.

Qualifications

Previous experience in administrative, research, coordination, or data support role is preferred but not required.
Demonstrated ability to organize information, manage schedules and work with data systems. Training will be provided.
