Location: Dundee, Michigan (onsite position)

Position Summary:

CMM Programmers/Operators are highly skilled professionals responsible for operating and programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and various other precision measurement tools within an automotive manufacturing environment. This role requires advanced technical knowledge, attention to detail, and practical experience in quality validation processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and program CMM equipment to validate part quality in accordance with released part GD&T.
• Set up gauges or fixtures based on technical specifications, blueprints, and manufacturers’ manuals.
• Create, modify, and execute measurement programs using CAD and related software tools.
• Interpret part drawings, sketches, and technical documentation to determine proper measurement methodology.
• Plan and execute the sequence of operations needed to perform part inspections accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports and communicate measurement results clearly to engineers and production teams.
• Troubleshoot measurement issues and assist in root cause analysis of quality concerns.
• Perform incidental tasks as needed to support larger quality or production objectives.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a CMM Programmer/Operator in an automotive or advanced manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Proficient in using CAD software and CMM programming languages (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso).
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production setting.
