Veterinary Practice Consultant

Coppens Business Strategies, a small, privately owned veterinary consulting company based out of Grand Rapids, MI is seeking an experienced Veterinary Practice Consultant to assist with the expanding needs of our growing company.

The role of Veterinary Consultant is ideal for a seasoned veterinary professional who understands the realities of practice life and enjoys helping teams grow sustainably and strategically. As a Consultant, you will serve as a trusted advisor—analyzing workflows, identifying opportunities for improvement, and guiding practices through meaningful, measurable change.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with practice owners and leadership teams to assess operations, staffing, workflows, and culture
• Provide strategic guidance on practice management, team structure, scheduling, and performance optimization
• Support hiring, onboarding, retention, and leadership development initiatives
• Analyze financial and operational metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities
• Develop and deliver customized recommendations, training, and implementation plans
• Serve as a consistent point of contact, offering ongoing coaching and support
• Stay informed on industry trends and best practices to ensure relevant, high-value guidance

Qualifications

• Background in veterinary medicine (e.g., Practice Manager, Hospital Administrator, CVT/LVT, Veterinarian, or similar leadership role)
• Strong understanding of veterinary practice operations and team dynamics
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders
• Comfortable working independently and managing multiple client relationships
• Consulting, leadership, or multi-site experience strongly preferred

Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
