Job Description
Join a dynamic team involved in the assembly of large AC units at a leading HVAC manufacturing facility. Candidates may work in Plant 2, 3, or eventually Plant 4. The role requires working on the first shift, from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Overtime is voluntary unless stated otherwise and can become mandatory with notice.
Responsibilities
- Perform repetitive assembly work at one of the designated stations.
- Assist in assembling large AC units designed for commercial buildings such as apartment complexes and hospitals.
- Use hand tools and power tools for assembly tasks.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and participate in safety training during the first week.
- Engage in brazing, soldering, operating machines and presses, hanging and unhanging parts, and performing quality checks and tests once fully trained.
- Report any malfunctions or defects to the production supervisor.
- Learn to understand and work from blueprints.
Essential Skills
- Experience with hand tools and power tools.
- Mechanical assembly skills.
- Ability to lift 40lbs repetitively, up to 44 times per shift.
- Physically inclined with the ability to bend and twist during assembly tasks.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 6 months of manufacturing experience.
- 1 year of assembly experience is preferred.
- Electrical experience and mechanically inclined nature are advantageous.
- A good attitude and willingness to learn as training is provided from the ground up.

Work Environment
Work in a temperature-controlled and very clean environment with well-organized stations equipped with all necessary tools. Collaborate with team members and receive guidance from a lead tech during the initial weeks. The facility is continuously improving, with new testing stations being assembled.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kentwood, MI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.
